Testimonials
The Rock Academy is the best school in the valley. It’s not just a school, but a family. The teachers are amazing and the kids are well taught and have good manners. Both my daughters completed their primary school at The Rock and my three sons are still there. #bestschoolinthevalley

When I think of The Rock Academy, I think of the passage in Mark 10 verse 13 to 16 where Jesus invites the little children to come to Him. At the Rock Academy the value of the children is truly understood, their faith is nurtured and their intellect developed. I am so grateful for the solid Christian Foundation that characterized my children’s primary school years. Thank you Mrs Oelofse and staff for protecting the children’s innocence and for appreciating their uniqueness. The children and their parents are forever blessed by you.

The Rock Academy is a small school with a big heart. My kids were taught respect and integrity as well as a great work ethic. Their 20 minutes of homework every weekday in the foundation phase, laid a solid foundation that has helped them throughout primary and high school. They have grown into confident, hardworking and helpful young adults. Mrs Oelofse also believes that God has created every one of her students with a unique ability that is nurtured at the Rock. Besides academics, the arts are fully embraced at The Rock. My kids loved their music and art lessons. Even though they don’t offer a huge variety of sports, physical education is a priority. So, if you’re looking for a small school that doesn’t compromise on academics, whilst developing every aspect of your child The Rock Academy is for you.

The reason why I love The Rock Academy is because we all treat each other like family. We all love and care for one another.

The two things I like about the Rock are, firstly, the small classes because it’s not too overwhelming and the teachers can help you. Secondly, it’s Christian-based, so, as important as it is to learn about Maths, I feel it’s as important to learn about God.

The thing I like most about our school is that the classes are very small and the teachers pay attention to every child in the class.

I love the fact that the Rock Academy is a Christian School. From the first day I arrived at the school everyone made me feel welcome. At The Rock we all treat each other with respect.

The Rock taught me about character. At the Rock I have seen that it doesn´t matter who you are or where you come from. You are accepted and over time we all become family. I’ve made really close friends at The Rock and I want to thank all the teachers for taking the time to get to know each of us personally and for helping us with everything. Here we experienced love and joy. Thank you to the amazing teachers who were so involved in our lives. I am going to miss you very much and much love.

Here at the Rock Academy our children are getting a good foundation. We as parents and grandparents are privileged and proud to have our children in such a good environment where prayer and Bible study are part of the curriculum. We salute our teachers who are very dedicated to teaching our children and for always going the extra mile with those who are struggling. To the parents who are considering putting their children in school look no further! The Rock Academy will be beneficial for the future of your child.

I had the privilege of teaching at the Rock Academy for 6 wonderful years. The Rock Academy was more than just a school, it was a place of connection to each other, to the community and to God. The small classes allowed us to establish solid foundations and give the care and attention each child needed academically and emotionally. Great relationships were forged among the staff and students. My own children attended The Rock and are still best friends with the friends they made in their first year at the school. I can highly recommend The Rock if you want a school that provides excellent education, Godly principles and committed relationships among staff, students and parents.

It was the breakthrough that I needed and has made a huge impact on my day-to-day life. This school had the most caring, most determined, most loyal and most loving headmistress who was our anchor. The teachers are so incredibly caring and committed, always wanting to help me no matter what and always pushing me to persevere through my work and studies. The teachers and students at The Rock helped me to reach out to God whenever I needed Him and to talk to Him throughout my day. It was very heartwarming knowing that I was surrounded by people of God Who Loved Me. The Rock Academy Christian school will forever be in my heart.

The Rock Academy has been an amazing school for all three of my children. The small classes create a focused and nurturing environment for teaching, learning and individualized academic excellence. Two of my children have seamlessly transitioned to high school where they are achieving top tier academic results and flourishing socially. Most importantly the Rock Academy provided fertile ground for them to grow strong roots of faith, discover their unique gifts, and develop in character. If you are looking for a school that offers an outstanding standard of education in a loving and nurturing environment with small classes, exceptional teachers and Christian values, you will find that the Rock Academy ticks all the boxes and more.

The Rock Academy was absolutely the best place for me from Grade 1 all the way to Grade 7. I was taught in a way that made me eager to learn and passionate about my subjects. Each and every teacher genuinely cared for me and the small classes made it easy to grow closer to and connect with my classmates. The Rock is so rooted in Jesus. I truly believe that it played a big part in my walk with God and that I wouldn’t be where I am today if I had gone to another school. Some of the best memories I have are there, and I am still close with many of my classmates today, almost 4 years later. I could not have wished for a better place to grow up.
Josie 2008 – 2014 (past student).
The Rock Academy helped me to grow in so many ways throughout primary school. The strong sense of community combined with the extraordinary teachers who genuinely care for your well-being made for an awesome, God-filled 7 years. I couldn’t have hoped for a better primary school to prepare me for a new chapter in my life.

I loved being at the Rock. I gained so much confidence being in a small class and found my voice. I loved the computer and drama classes and the special friendships I made. The teachers are great and I am doing very well in high school because they prepared me so well.
Ruby 2014 – 2018 (past student).

Haley 2014 – 2017 (past student).
I was at the Rock Academy from grade 1. The Rock Academy taught me the basis of respect, love and caring not only for my fellow peers but for my teachers and everyone around me. The Rock Academy was and is a family. They taught me to always work hard and do my absolute best. They taught me to never stop trying and to never give up and I have never let that ethic go. I have great memories from the Rock Academy. When I run into a classmate from The Rock Academy, we talk and laugh about our memories. I will always hold great respect for The Rock Academy and the people who keep it together and keep striving.
